Understanding Listing Statuses

Last updated on Dec 06, 2025

Each property listing has a status indicating its current state.

Status Types

Active

The listing is live and being promoted. Buyers can see it and express interest.

Pending

The listing is awaiting something - often approval or final review.

Inactive

The listing exists but is not currently being promoted. You may have paused it intentionally.

Sold

The property has been sold. The listing remains for records but is no longer promoted.

Rented

For rental properties that have been rented out.

Expiring Soon

The listing is approaching expiration (typically within 7 days). Update or renew it to keep it active.

Viewing by Status

On the My Listings page, use the status filter chips to quickly see:

  • All listings

  • Pending approval

  • Active

  • Inactive

  • Sold

  • Rented

  • Expiring soon

Changing Status

To change a listing's status:

  1. Go to My Listings

  2. Click the listing

  3. Click Edit

  4. Update the Status field

  5. Save

Status Best Practices

  • Mark sold/rented promptly - Don't leave outdated listings active

  • Watch expiring listings - Renew before they lapse if still relevant

  • Use inactive for pauses - Don't delete listings you might reactivate

  • Check pending regularly - Ensure listings move to active status

Why Status Matters

Accurate statuses:

  • Keep your listing portfolio clean

  • Ensure buyers see current properties

  • Help you track your inventory

  • Maintain your reputation for accuracy
